An unprecedented event is in the making for 2012. An extraordinary encounter between the worlds of rock ‘n’ roll and perfume, a new and unexpected twist to the fragrance Very Irrésistible Givenchy, orchestrated by Parfums Givenchy.

For the first time, Liv Tyler, the fragrance’s muse, reveals her voice (first studio recording)and sets her inner energy free in a reinterpretation of the INXS hit Need You Tonight. An electrifying song about desire and abandon, to which Liv brings a modern, elegant, sensual touch. To mark this new episode in the Very Irrésistible Givenchy saga, the brand has concocted a fragrance, at once radiant and rebellious, that is true to Liv’s rock ‘n’ roll spirit: Very Irrésistible Givenchy Electric Rose. A new interpretation of the fragrance that tells the story of an unpredictable rose turned utterly magnetic.

Perfect for couples of any age, this February JACQUES BREL RETURNS will offer a very special Valentine’s Day performance on February 14th at 9pm, in addition to a performance on Wednesday, February 22nd at 7pm.

This will be a nice treat and something different for you and your significant other to do--helps beat the ever-so monotony of Valentine's Day in NYC.  So after you've devoured the delish prix fixe special that evening, head over to this fabulous show.

Not sure what David and I are doing, but I'll be posting about it.  It should be interesting this year...you know, with baby bump and all.

Here's more info:

The production, which has been playing at The Triad (158 West 72nd Street) for over a year and performs a few times each month, is an intimate and engaging evening of classic Jacques Brel songs and features a rotating cast of Broadway performers as well as occasional surprise guest performers. The show features timeless and beloved Brel tunes including "Carousel," "My Childhood," "If We Only Have Love," "Ne Me Quitte Pas," "The Bulls," "Amsterdam" and "I Loved."

Featured in the 2/14 and 2/22 shows will be Ereni Sevasti (The Bacchae at The Public, Carnival at The Kennedy Center), Arlo Hill (Where’s Charley? at Encores! directed by John Doyle), Rick Hip-Flores (who has performed in the pits of Billy Elliot, The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee, and The Radio City Christmas Spectacular), and PJ Baccari. Also featured on 2/22 will be Tamra Hayden (Les Misérables on Broadway).

JACQUES BREL RETURNS is presented by Dan Whitten, Mark Beigelman, Peter Martin and Tiger Theatricals and was originally created by Dan Whitten (who also produced the hit revival and CD of Jacques Brel is Alive and Well and Living in Paris in 2006/2007) and Mark Beigelman.

"Brel's music is timeless and we are thrilled to get to keep it alive at The Triad”says producer Dan Whitten. “We will also be touring the show starting in the spring with Cleveland, where Brel saved the Playhouse Square Theatre back in the early 70's."

JACQUES BREL RETURNS plays at The Triad (158 West 72nd Street) each month, with February’s shows taking place on 2/14 at 9pm and 2/22 at 7pm. Tickets, priced at $30 for general admission and $40 for premium seating, can be bought online at www.BrownPaperTickets.com or by phone at 800-838-3006. There is also a two-drink minimum at each performance.
