On August 8, 2009 Social Life Magazine celebrated their men’s August issue which hunky racecar driver Tim George Jr. He’s not your typical flannelled shirt, blue jeans wearing NASCAR driver, nor is he driving the hick crowd so readily associated with racecar events (no offense to racecar driving fans). He showed up to the event, which took place at the grandiose 10,000 sq. ft. Social Magazine estate, prim and trim with a dandy of a blazer, black diamond dagger jewelry by Chrome Hearts, Rolex watch and white pants—because it IS the Hamptons.
So yeah, not your typical racecar driver look. He considers his style to
He attended the event with (naturally) a consortium of beautiful women and his long time best friend James Marcus. Says a lot about a guy who happens to still mingle with hometown best friends regardless of his success. He grew up in New York City and headed toward a career in cooking by working for a catering company that catered to race car events. However, this was not the push that got him to race cars, his real inspiration to start driving fast was his Dad’s 1964 Corvette.
What does a racecar drive do to train for such an invigorating experience with a car? “ …lots of core training, and cardio. It’s like being in a fighter jet for 3hrs” Tim says. I guess “invigorating”
His favorite alcoholic drink: Dom Pérignon
His role models: Dale Senior, Jimmy Johnson, Kyle Busch (clearly for their amazing careers and not for style)
What does he do when he’s not racing: Golf, snowboarding. He’s “an outdoors-y” guy.
Tim George was in full bling. Image shows him wearing Chrome Hearts black diamond dagger bracelet and ring and Rolex watch. Fab perks for being Rolex Rookie of the Year, a title which he earned in 2008.
Beside Tim George Jr, the event was attended by reality TV stars Alex McCord and Simon van Kempen and as mentioned previously the lovely…YES, lovely Heather Mills. You can read about my experience meeting her here.
