Couture and ready-to-wear collections serving a purpose other than beauty and art---answering to the woman's need of the time.

Let's say Karl Lagerfeld is boosting his confidence as well while emblazoning the address of Chanel's 31 rue Cambon location on handbags, going further than just the logo. Lagerfeld declined all comments on his new collection, however he did manage to get out:
"I have overdosed on myself." Karl, I think you're doing just fine.

Heels or Flats?....Mr. Blahnik finds a new silhouette.

On an interview with AP at the Rodeo Drive Walk of Style in Beverly Hills, CA, Manolo Blahnik claims flats to be his new favorite silhouette.

He believes it is more challenging for a women to pull off flats in an elegant manner, however when she does, the results are more than gratifying.

"It's much more difficult to be beautiful and walk femininely in flats. (Brigitte) Bardot in France did it and Audrey Hepburn in America. They looked fantastic and walked like tigers, beautiful and graceful, but you can walk like a beach bum in them, then they don't look so good."

He approves flip flops (providing that you handle your feet with care), however dispises outrageous platforms.

Mr. Blahnik adds, "I love any kind of shoe as long as the right person is wearing them."

Stay fabulous,
Lela
